7 Dallas Fort Worth Restaurants Offering Takeout During COVID-19

All Storage Online | June 1, 2020 @ 12:00 AM

In late April, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that some businesses, including restaurants and malls, could begin reopening with strict guidelines in place. Currently, Lone Star restaurants are allowed to offer dine-in services while following strict guidelines. These include limiting capacity to 50 percent, only allowing six or fewer patrons to a table, keeping groups of diners at least six feet apart, utilizing disposable menus, and disinfecting surfaces more frequently. Side note: Sorry margarita lovers; bars aren’t part of this early reopening stage.

While the dine-in service may be an option for those who miss eating somewhere besides home, many people don’t feel comfortable going out to eat quite yet. Additionally, many restaurants are still choosing to only offer takeout right now.

In the interest of offering resources to our self storage customers—and the community as whole—during this difficult time, we’ve compiled a list of Dallas Fort Worth restaurants currently offering takeout.

Resident Taqueria - Dallas

Craving tacos in quarantine? This Lake Highlands Plaza Shopping Center restaurant has got you covered. Resident Taqueria allows you to order tacos online. Tasty tacos options include pecan smoked chicken, braised beef short rib, and all-day breakfast tacos. Grab some garlic pinto beans as a side and thank us later.

Angelo’s BBQ - Fort Worth

This Fort Worth favorite has been perfecting the art of hickory-smoked goodness for 60 years. Order your favorite meat from Angelo’s BBQ online. From brisket to jalapeno sausage, they’ve got it all, plus savory sides like smoked macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, and chili. There’s even peach cobbler for dessert.

Nest Burger - Plano

Give Nest Burger a call (or order through UberEats, Postmates, or Grubhub) and treat yourself to a juicy burger. Classic options at this burger joint include the Famous Texas Onion Burger that’s topped with sauteed onions and the Big Ole Plano Burger that’s loaded with barbecue sauce, cheese, and a fried onion ring. There are also chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, and kids’ meals.

Pizzaiolo’s Pizza & Pasta - Grand Prairie

Have an Italian feast right at home by ordering takeout or delivery from Pizzaiolo’s Pizza & Pasta. The restaurant offers free delivery in about 30 minutes and does not have delivery or takeout order minimums. The menu includes speciality pies, create-your-own options, wings, calzones, paninis, pasta dishes, and desserts.

The Community Grill - Frisco

The Community Grill is a popular local spot in Frisco that offers elevated comfort food in the form of jalapeno corn nuggets, meatball sandwiches, patty melts, and avocado caprese salads. Call to order curbside pickup seven days a week. Follow the restaurant on Facebook for daily specials and updates.

Whataburger - Multiple DFW Locations

Just because you’re dining at home doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a meal from one of the most iconic fast food restaurants in Texas. Whataburger is open during COVID-19 for takeout. Whether your go-to Whataburger order is a burger, a chicken sandwich, or something else, take advantage of 24-hour drive thrus.
