7 Dallas Fort Worth Area Restaurants Offering Booze To-Go During COVID-19
What is summer in Texas without a frozen margarita (invented in Dallas, by the way!) or an ice-cold Lone Star beer? While COVID-19 related closures and safety measures might be making it hard to hang out on a bar patio with a cocktail, it’s still very possible to enjoy that same level of mixology in the comfort of your own home while practicing social distancing. During the COVID-19 crisis, Texas restaurants are permitted to offer cocktail kits, beer, and wine to-go and via delivery. Alcohol must be purchased along with food, so as long as you add some queso and chips to your order, you’re good to go.
Texas restaurants are slowly beginning to open (operating at a reduced capacity) but if you are staying at home, you can still sip a hand-crafted cocktail by heading to one of these spots in the Dallas Fort Worth area. All offer curbside pickup, and some offer delivery. Call to confirm delivery radius if you’re opting for the latter.
Mi Cocina has cocktail kits to go including mules made with Topo Chico, spicy pineapple margaritas, Old Fashioneds, and beer. Look for locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Richardson, Plano, Irving, Frisco, and elsewhere.
Pull right up to the valet area at Jose in Dallas and get your margaritas to-go. This popular eatery offers five different types of margarita kits. Don’t forget to grab some breakfast taco kits for a surprisingly great combination. Simply order via the phone and your booze and food will be available within the hour.
Rye McKinney is open for dine-in, but you can still opt for to-go cocktails if you wish. They’ve got over 30 different styles to choose from including rum punch, margaritas, painkillers, and daiquiris. You can also get cocktail tools and add-ons like brandy cherries, bitters, and vermouth. P.S. If you can’t find hand sanitizer at your local store, they’ve got it available to-go.
Mesero has five locations in the DFW area and will deliver within an eight mile radius—but you can always choose pickup if you’re further away. Order mules, frozen cocktails, wine, and beer. Pair your drink of choice with a Mexican dish like ceviche or go American and order a burger.
This Thai restaurant has locations in Richardson, Forest Land, Oak Lawn, and Inwood Village and is known for its wonderful Bangkok cuisine. Order your favorite curry from Asian Mint along with beer, wine, or sake.
Meso Maya has got all sorts of Texas favorites to-go. If you love Ranch Water (tequila, Topo Chico, and lime) you can order it in a cocktail kit. Or go for a takeout margarita kit (single serving or group serving), available frozen or on the rocks. They’ve also got beer singles and six-packs. On the weekend, grab brunch to-go and take home a mimosa kit. You’re definitely going to want some chorizo breakfast tacos and chilaquiles along with the booze.
