Spring is right around the corner, and everywhere you look there are articles and tips and lists offering information on Spring Cleaning.  But if you’re anything like me, spending the best time of the year cleaning house is nowhere near the top of your list.

Here are some suggestions for some fun spring activities to get you out of the house and enjoying the great weather in Dallas Fort Worth:

  1. Easter Egg Hunt at the Dallas Arboretum – March 18-19 & 25-26 – 7:30 AM.  Admission includes breakfast, egg decorating activities and an Easter Egg Hunt.  The Dallas Arboretum in the spring is a site you don’t want to miss!  www.dallasarboretum.org
  2. 37th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Saturday, March 19 – 11:00 AM – Held on a 2 mile stretch of Greenville Avenue, this is one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the country.  Be sure and wear something green, check out the costumes, and drink some green beer!  http://www.dallasstpatricksparade.com/
  3. Trinity Trails – Get outside and explore the biking/running/walking trails of Fort Worth, TX.  Mostly located along the Trinity River, these scenic trails are a great way to spend a warm spring day!  www.trinitytrails.org
  4. Spring Break at the Fort Worth Opera – Check out kid-friendly versions of Billy Goats Gruff and The Ugly Duckling designed to introduce children to the beautiful music of the opera.  www.fwopera.org

Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival – March 31 through April 3rd – From a BBQ Showdown to Late Night Desserts to a sampling of Burgers Brews and Blues, this multi-location event has something for everyone!  http://fortworthfoodandwinefestival.com/events/
